Home Team Program
We know that the success of any relationship experiencing the overwhelming challenges of a mental health battle depend on the first responder AND their partner having the guidance, support and encouragement they need. The 3FTL Home Team program was created exclusively to build a safe place for first responder partners (wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend, or domestic partner) - my Homies - to navigate their struggles, celebrate their victories, and share their wisdom!
What People Are Saying
“I love that I can be candid, open and honest without judgement. It helped me not feel so alone as a fire wife and mom. Y’all understand what I’m going through, you have my back and are rooting for me!”
— Claire W
“The role of a fire wife is one that so many just don’t understand. Our husbands have each other to talk to and relate to, and we need that too. It’s a huge blessing to know there is a group of people who just GET IT and can relate to the crazy life as we know it.”
— Courtney W
What is the Home Team Program?
This private community is assembled to help Homies understand what your first responder is experiencing during their 3FTL treatment, and how you can best help them. Your openness and vulnerability will be held in strict confidence within our small circle of people who “get it”! We’ll combine an irreverent atmosphere where you can be candid with your thoughts, along with decades of real-life first responder partner’s experience. This is safe place to have honest conversations, free from judgement or criticism.
When
We meet virtually every Tuesdays, 8:00 pm - 9pm (CST) via Zoom. Contact Erika to get the private link.
On the 2nd Tuesday we meet in person at a rotating location 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
We discuss various topics related to the first responder life, including building a resilient relationship, communicating your needs, and perhaps most importantly this platform will be a place where you are not alone during your loved ones recovery process.
How
Grab your calendar and make a note for Home Team (HT) meetings every week – remember, schedule and routine are critical to keeping your priorities and expectations of each other in line. Your first responder received information about this program and they have been advised to do whatever they can to allow you the time to attend the Home Team calls. We are a TEAM!
We respect everyone's time and are committed to protecting it.
